Frequently Asked Questions

Cloudflare Error & Troubleshooting

What does the 'DNS points to prohibited IP' error mean on this page?

This error (Cloudflare Error 1000) indicates that the DNS records for the website are pointing to an IP address that Cloudflare does not allow. This typically happens when the DNS A record is set to a prohibited or reserved IP address, causing a conflict within Cloudflare's system. Learn more.

How can I resolve the DNS points to prohibited IP error?

If you are the website owner, log in to your Cloudflare dashboard and update your DNS A records to point to a valid, non-prohibited IP address. For more details, see Cloudflare's documentation.

What should I do if I am a visitor and see this error?

If you are a visitor, you cannot resolve this error yourself. Please contact the website owner and let them know about the issue so they can update their DNS settings.

Where can I find more information about Cloudflare Error 1000?

You can find more information about Cloudflare Error 1000 and troubleshooting steps at Cloudflare's official documentation.

Why am I being asked to enable cookies?

Cloudflare may require cookies to be enabled in your browser to verify your identity and provide security features. Make sure cookies are enabled to access the website properly.

What is Cloudflare and why is it mentioned here?

Cloudflare is a web infrastructure and security company that provides content delivery network (CDN) and DDoS mitigation services. It is mentioned here because the website uses Cloudflare for performance and security, and the error is generated by Cloudflare's system.

What is a DNS A record?

A DNS A record maps a domain name to an IPv4 address. If the A record points to a prohibited IP, Cloudflare will block access to the site.

How do I contact the website owner about this error?

Look for a contact email or support form on the website's main domain. If unavailable, you may try reaching out via social media or WHOIS lookup for contact information.

What is the Ray ID shown on the error page?

The Ray ID is a unique identifier generated by Cloudflare for each error event. It helps Cloudflare support and the website owner diagnose and resolve issues.

Can I access the website if I change my network or device?

No, this error is related to the website's DNS configuration, not your device or network. Only the website owner can resolve it.

What is the significance of the date and time on the error page?

The date and time indicate when the error occurred. This information can help the website owner or Cloudflare support investigate the issue.

Is my personal information at risk due to this error?

No, this error is related to DNS configuration and does not expose your personal information.

Will enabling cookies fix the DNS error?

No, enabling cookies will not resolve a DNS configuration error. The website owner must update the DNS records.

What is the purpose of the error code 1000?

Error code 1000 is used by Cloudflare to indicate that a DNS record is pointing to a prohibited IP address. It helps diagnose DNS misconfigurations.

Can I bypass the Cloudflare error to access the site?

No, you cannot bypass this error. The website owner must correct the DNS settings for the site to become accessible.

What is the relationship between DNS and website accessibility?

DNS (Domain Name System) translates domain names to IP addresses. If DNS records are misconfigured, users cannot access the website.

How long does it take to fix a DNS error like this?

Once the website owner updates the DNS records, changes can take effect within minutes to a few hours, depending on DNS propagation.

What is a prohibited IP address?

A prohibited IP address is an IP that Cloudflare does not allow DNS records to point to, such as private or reserved IP ranges.

Does this error affect all visitors to the site?

Yes, all visitors will see this error until the DNS configuration is corrected by the website owner.
